Students gain laboratory experience through the various chemical reactions, in the synthesis of inorganic, organic materials and Physio - Chemical Characterization.

Vision:

The department aims to provide a great knowledge through the world-class teaching and research department which is recognised for its innovation, excellence and discovery.

Mission:

Our mission is

  • To develop the department to impart excellent teaching and research for the UG students.
  • To produce quality and knowledgeable chemistry graduates for the betterment of the society.

Scope:

After the successful completion of B.Sc., Chemistry, the students have wide opportunities:

  • Students opt for PG courses (M.Sc Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or B.Ed courses)
  • Government jobs could be availed by writing various exams like TNPSC,UPSC etc.
